Carlos Rabassa

Carlos Rabassa, was born in Montevideo, Uruguay. He earned a Master´s Degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering. With Nenny his wife, he lived and worked in New York City for over 40 years. First they worked as manufacturers´s representatives selling mostly american and european heavy equipment and engineering services to Latin American customers. They also worked marketing a patent of invention by licensing manufacturers in fifteen countries around the world. His second career was as a real estate broker, specializing in homes in New York CIty. Together with Nenny they developed their own technique using computers and internet and using data mining to multiply the effect of their promotional efforts. Since 2006 they retired in Montevideo and joined RAP Ceibal a group of volunteers dedicated to help with the introduction of Plan Ceibal, the uruguayan version of OLPC.
